The Ohio State Bar Association, founded in 1880, is a voluntary professional association representing more than 75 percent of Ohio’s practicing lawyers. Through its activities, the OSBA serves both its members and the public by promoting the highest standards for the practice of law and the administration of justice. Total membership is about 30,000, which includes paralegal/legal assistant and law student associate members.

OSBA Print Publications
Published bimonthly, the award-winning Ohio Lawyer® features articles on legal developments and issues, as well as columns from the OSBA president and executive director. Other columns highlight legislative issues, ethical and malpractice concerns, technology updates, book and Web site reviews, and legal news briefs.
The Ohio lawyer’s weekly practice resource, the OSBA Report® is the first to publish the most recent decisions from the Ohio Supreme Court, in addition to decisions from Ohio appellate courts and lower courts. The Ohio State Bar Association in 2001 was named the joint official reporter for case law in Ohio by the Ohio Supreme Court. The weekly Report is cited in OSBA surveys as the product that provides the most value to lawyers in their law practices. It is the essential resource for success for Ohio lawyers.
OSBA Digital Publications
The OSBA's core purpose, as specified in our mission statement is "to advance the professional interests of members of the Ohio State Bar Association." Through our surveys, it is clear legal professionals throughout Ohio are embracing new technologies in their legal practices in increasing numbers. The OSBA has a solid base of digital products, and will continue to monitor the horizon for new services to continue fulfilling this mission statement.
