The 21-member Board of Governors meets monthly to manage the association’s business affairs, set policy, review pending legislation and conduct other business on behalf of the 25,000 Ohio lawyers who are OSBA members.
Heintz received his bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in 1972, and his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 1975. He concentrates his practice at Brouse McDowell in the areas of bankruptcy, real estate and corporate law.

In addition, he is a life member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference and a member of both the Commercial Law League of America and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
An active member of his community, Heintz is a member of the Summit County Social Services Advisory Board, the Silver Lake Village Planning Commission, and Bluecoats, Inc. He also serves on the Board of Directors of North Akron Savings Bank. Heintz lives in Silver Lake with his wife, Rose L. Heintz, principal of Lincoln Elementary School in Cuyahoga Falls.
The Ohio State Bar Association, founded in 1880, is a voluntary association representing approximately 25,000 members of the bench and bar of Ohio, as well as nearly 4,000 legal assistants and law students. Through its activities and the activities of its related organizations, the OSBA serves both its members and the public by promoting the highest standards in the practice of law and the administration of justice.
