Lima attorney named to Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors

Columbus, OH (July 7, 2009) – Carlene Huston-Kinworthy has been elected to serve a three-year term as District 16 representative on the Board of Governors of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA).  District 16 includes 262 attorneys who reside or practice in Allen, Auglaize, Hardin and Mercer counties. 

Huston-Kinworthy, a Lima attorney who concentrates her practice in the areas of family and personal injury law, was elected to her new post by area lawyers at an OSBA district meeting several months ago.  She succeeds retiring District 16 representative Hon. William D. Hart of Kenton.

The 21-member Board of Governors meets monthly to manage the association’s business affairs, set policy, review pending legislation and conduct other business on behalf of the 25,000 Ohio lawyers who are OSBA members.

Huston-Kinworthy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Findlay and her law degree from Ohio Northern University.  A former instructor for Street Law at Shawnee High School, she is a certified mediator and a member of the Allen County Bar Association’s Grievance Committee, Domestic Relations Committee, Nominating Committee, Entertainment Committee, Executive Committee and Law Library Committee.  She lives in Lima with her husband, David Kinworthy.

The Ohio State Bar Association, founded in 1880, is a voluntary association representing approximately 25,000 members of the bench and bar of Ohio as well as nearly 4,000 legal assistants and law students.  Through its activities and the activities of its related organizations, the OSBA serves both its members and the public by promoting the highest standards in the practice of law and the administration of justice.
