Today, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland appointed Cleveland attorney Kathleen Burke as the Ohio Lottery Commission executive director.  The Ohio State Bar Association commends Governor Strickland for his choice and congratulates Kathy Burke as she prepares to take on her new responsibilities.

Members of the Ohio State Bar Association know first-hand of Kathy Burke’s business acumen and leadership style because she served as the Association’s president – the first female in that role.  Her colleagues at Jones Day and throughout the organized bar know of her fine reputation as a litigator and business representative.  

Ohioans should know that Kathy Burke is an exemplary lawyer and leader, and is well-suited to help the Ohio Lottery grow and continue to meet its commitment to the citizens of Ohio.
