On July 28, 29, and 30, 2009, the Ohio Bar Examination was administered in Columbus. On Oct. 30, the results of that examination were released. Out of 1,177 applicants, 957 applicants (81.3 percent) received passing scores, and out of 1,046 first-time applicants, 87.8 percent received passing scores.

The oath of office will be administered to applicants who were successful on the examination and who have satisfied all of the Supreme Court’s other requirements for admission. The oath will be administered during a special public session of the Supreme Court that will be held at the Ohio Theatre, 39 E. State St., in Columbus, on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009.
