Attorney Specialization and Paralegal Certification Programs

You will need to log in using your OSBA login name and password. Once you are logged in, you will be able to track your annual reporting, biennial reporting and recertification status. Please direct any questions you may have to Melissa Quick at mquick@ohiobar.org or (800) 282-6556.

Attorney Specialization Program

The OSBA "specialization program" was created to give licensed Ohio attorneys the ability to become certified as specialists in particular areas of law. The Ohio State Bar Association is proud to be accredited by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Certification of Attorneys as Specialists (CCAS).

Paralegal Certification Program

The OSBA offers a voluntary credentialing program for paralegals. Individuals meeting the OSBA definition of “paralegal,” meeting the eligibility requirements and passing a written examination will be designated as an “OSBA Certified Paralegal.” This credential, along with a logo provided for the purpose may be used by the paralegal to the extent permitted by the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Rules for the Government of the Bar and Rules of Professional Conduct.
