Carmen V. Roberto
OSBA President Carmen V. Roberto practices with the Akron firm of Bernlohr, Niekamp and Weisensell in the areas of criminal defense and civil litigation. He has represented OSBA District 11 on the Board of Governors, chaired the OSBA Ohio Lawyer Board of Editors and has chaired the OSBA Membership, Public and Media Relations and Publications Committee. He also has served on the OSBA Task Force on Gender Fairness and is a member of the Negligence Law and Traffic Law Committees. He was also a member of the Ohio State Bar Foundation Fellows Class of 2006. Active in his local community’s bar activities, Roberto has served as president of the Akron Bar Association and the Ohio Metropolitan Bar Association Consortium and has served on the boards of the Akron Bar Association and the Akron Bar Foundation.

Carol S. Marx
Carol Seubert Marx of Lancaster received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and her law degree from The Ohio State University. Marx will take office as president of the OSBA on July 1, 2011. She is a member of the Fairfield County Bar Association and member of the OSBA Supreme Court Joint Task Force on Gender Fairness in the Legal System Screening Committee. Marx is a member of the Fairfield County Medical Center Board of Trustees and serves as a volunteer for the Fairfield County Pro Bono Legal Clinic.

Barbara J. Howard
Cincinnati attorney Barbara Howard, an OSBA certified family relations law specialist with collaborative law certification, has provided many years of service to the Ohio bar. She has served on the OSBA Board of Governors since 2005, and previously chaired the Government Affairs Committee. She has served on the OSBA Council of Delegates since 1985, is a past chair of the OSBA Women in the Profession Section, a former member of the Ohio Lawyer Board of Editors and a current member of the OSBA Family Law Committee (and the Spousal Support Subcommittee).

Patrick Fischer is an attorney with Keating Muething & Klekamp in Cincinnati. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College. Fischer is a member and past president of the Cincinnati Bar Association, Supreme Court of Ohio Task Force on Commercial Docket co-chair and a member of the ABA Center on Professional Responsibility. He is a trustee on the Hamilton County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board, Mental Health and Recovery Services Board and Visions Community Service Board.

Thomas L. “Tom” Guillozet is an attorney with Hanes, Schipfer, Cooper, Graber & Guillozet, Ltd., in Versailles. He received his bachelor’s degree from Marietta College and his law degree from the University of Dayton. He is past president of the Darke County Bar Association, a member of the board of directors for Versailles Savings and Loan, and serves as Mayor’s Court magistrate for villages in Darke County.

An attorney with Shindler, Neff, Holmes, Schlageter & Mohler in Toledo, Martin Mohler received his law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law and his bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University. His areas of practice include civil and criminal trial practice, corporate/business, estate planning, domestic relations, personal injury/wrongful death, ethics and probate. Mohler is a past president and current member of the Toledo Bar Association, Toledo Legal Aid Society, Ohio Bar College, American Bar Association, National Conference of Bar Presidents, OSBA Council of Delegates, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Maumee Valley Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, a fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and American Bar Association and a trustee on the Advocates for Basic Legal Equality and Legal Aid of Western Ohio Board.

David A. Hejmanowski
Delaware County juvenile and probate court magistrate David Hejmanowski received his bachelor’s degree from Hiram College and his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Hejmanowski serves as coordinator of the Delaware County Interfaith Legal Services Clinic, is a member of the Supreme Court of Ohio Advisory Committee on Interpreter Services, is secretary of the Central Ohio Symphony Board of Trustees and is a frequent presenter for the Ohio Judicial College.

Second District Ohio Court of Appeals Judge Thomas J. Grady received his bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University and his law degree from University of Kentucky College of Law. Grady’s professional activities include the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Rules of Practice and Procedure, Ohio Judicial Conference Civil Law and Procedure Committee and the Ohio Court of Appeals Judges Association.

David Patterson is an attorney with Readey and Patterson in Columbus. He received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his law degree from the University of Michigan. Patterson is a former president and board member of the Columbus Bar Association and is an International Academy of Mediators Fellow. He serves as a trustee for Trinity United Methodist Church.

Mark K. McCown
An Ironton attorney practicing with McCown & Fisher, Mark K. McCown received his bachelor’s degree from Miami University and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He is a past president of the Lawrence County Bar Association, a Life Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and a legal columnist for the Ironton Tribune. McCown also serves as chair for the Ironton Mainstreet Program.

William M. Owens
Coshocton attorney William M. Owens received his undergraduate and law degrees from The Ohio State University. Owens is a general practitioner in the firm of Owens & Manning, where he concentrates on domestic, criminal, real estate and probate law. He is past president of the Coshocton County Bar Association and a member of the Ohio State Bar Foundation. Owens is also a past member of the Ridgewood Board of Education and prosecuting attorney and is active in the West Lafayette Masons, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, West Lafayette Lions and Coshocton Elks.

Former Ninth District Appellate Judge Joseph Cirigliano is an attorney with Wickens Herzer Panza Cook & Batista in Avon. He received his law degree from Western Reserve University and his bachelor’s degree from Baldwin Wallace College. Cirigliano is an Ohio Judicial College trustee and is a member of the Lorain County Community College Board of Trustees.

Jeffrey T. Heintz
Jeffrey T. Heintz received his bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law. He has served on the OSBA Council of Delegates since 2003, and is a past president of the Akron Bar Association and the Akron Bar Association Foundation, and a past chair of the Supreme Court of Ohio Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline and the Ohio Supreme Court Commission on Continuing Legal Education. Heintz is a Life Fellow of the Akron and Ohio State Bar Foundations, a life member of the 6th Circuit Judicial Conference and is a member of the Commercial Law League of America and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is the managing partner of Brouse McDowell L.P.A. with offices in Akron, Cleveland and Avon, and serves on the Board of Directors of North Akron Savings Bank.

Mark S. Floyd is a labor and employment attorney with Walter & Haverfield in Cleveland. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his law degree from Columbia Law School. Floyd is a member of the American Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Employment Inns of Court (Master Bencher) and a Trial Fellow of the Litigation Council of America. His civic activities include former labor arbitration panelist for Cleveland State University Industrial Relations Center, former executive committee member of the Cleveland Ballet and former board member of the Urban League of Greater Cleveland.

Gust Goutras earned his bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law. Goutras is in private practice with Goutras and Goutras in Canton, Ohio. Goutras served as the Stark County Probate Court chief deputy and chief magistrate from 1988 through 2010. He is also a past president of the Stark County Bar Association, a past member of the Ohio Judicial College Probate Practice Planning Committee, and a past member of the Association of Probate Judges Probate Form and Superintendence Rules Subcommittee.

C. Keith Plummer is an attorney with Tribbie Scott Plummer & Padden in Cambridge. He received his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and his law degree from Capital University and is a member of the Guernsey County Bar Association, as well as a former member of the executive committee of the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association. Plummer also serves in the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce.

Walter M. Lawson III of Lima concentrates on workers’ compensation, Social Security disability, and probate and estate planning. He is president of the Allen County Bar Association and a Life Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation. His civic activities include past member of the board of directors of the Better Business Bureau; immediate past president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, board of directors of the Samaritan House, The Ohio State University Alumni Association of Allen County and board of directors of Marimor Industries; and past chair of the CLE committee of the Allen County Bar Association.

Graham-Hurd is also a member of the Akron Bar Association where she served in all offices of the Family Law Section.

Jonathan Hollingsworth received his law degree from the University of Michigan School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Harvard. Hollingsworth is a member and past president of the Dayton Bar Association, past chair of the Supreme Court of Ohio Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline, a member of the Supreme Court of Ohio Task Force on Code of Judicial Conduct and Supreme Court of Ohio Task Force on Rules of Professional Conduct, past secretary of the Dayton Bar Foundation, and former board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Dayton. He is chair of Dayton-Montgomery County Port Authority and past chair of Montgomery County Transportation Improvement District and Dayton Urban League, past president of Family Service Association of Dayton, and former legal advisor for the Ohio Mock Trial Program.
