- General consumers, journalists, business people, legal professionals, teachers and students can access general information about our system of law and a wide variety of legal topics. Includes complete texts of The Law and You, Legal Basics for Small Business, and Legal Handbook for Ohio Journalists; the LawFacts pamphlet series; “Fine Print” quarterly business newsletter; the “Law You Can Use” consumer articles; links to the Ohio Legal Information Source (OLIS), a statewide resource list and “Light the Way,” a collection of advance directives resources (living wills, etc.); a link to the Ohio Hospice & Palliative Care Web site for advance directives information; and access to attorneys who will serve as community speakers or media resources.

- Programs aimed at fostering public understanding of the law include the Law Day (“There Ought To Be A Law” ) Essay Contest for students in grades 7-12; the Law & Media Conference for journalists, legal professionals and academics; the “Legal Eagle” program involving local lawyers across Ohio who provide basic legal information to consumers through radio and TV; the “Now You’re 18” program for teachers, students, legal professionals and local leaders; a “free pamphlet” program for charitable non-profit organizations; a link to OCLRE programs, including Mock Trial.
