2010 Leadership Academy graduates' comments

The OSBA Leadership Academy was a tremendous success, and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in the inaugural class!

I am thrilled to have been part of the Inaugural Class of the OSBA Leadership Academy. This program has opened my eyes to so many new areas and has given me a fantastic opportunity to learn who the go-to people are in those fields. It has been a great experience, in which I have learned a lot from both the presenters and my fellow academy members. Kudos to everyone at OSBA for creating such a dynamic program!

I have nothing but praise for the OSBA staff that created this program, got it off the ground, and managed the academy. Kalpana and Krista were organized, responsive, and available if issues arose. The people who selected/approved the applicants were successful in creating a group of good-natured and interesting people.

This overall experience is one that I will never forget. I will recommend it to any and all of my colleagues. I feel like I have a much greater understanding of, and appreciate for, the role of lawyers in our society and the opportunities for leadership within the Ohio Bar. The academy removed me from the daily grind of practicing law and reminded me of my goals for advancement of the legal system. I give my most sincere appreciation and gratitude to the OSBA and the presenters for giving me this opportunity and I hope to have an opportunity to return the favor in the future.

I can’t say enough how much I have enjoyed participating in this program and how helpful it has been in making me think about where I want my career to go. Thank you so very much for taking an interest in each of us and working so hard to make this a great experience. I am sad that next week is our last session.

I really enjoyed this Leadership Academy.  I have been sharing information with co-workers after each session.  I would suggest that portions of this training be made available to professionals that are already in leadership positions (i.e., supervisors, managers, directors, etc.). The information that I gained was invaluable and I know that it would be a benefit to others.

This was a truly wonderful experience. I am honored and grateful to be a part of the inaugural class. Thank you.

Great program and hope that it continues.

I feel honored to have been a participant in this inaugural class. I thank President Howard and the OSBA for coming up with such a remarkable opportunity. I hope that this program continues for years to come.
