Members of the Council of Delegates are elected representatives of Ohio State Bar Association members. While the Council of Delegates has many responsibilities, it is at the Council of Delegate meetings where consideration of legislative proposals from OSBA committees and sections are debated and adopted. Only after adoption of a proposal by the Council of Delegates does it become part of the OSBA legislative program and, thus, an OSBA-endorsed and sponsored bill.
Generally, the Council of Delegates meets once per year. Prior to the spring meeting each year, several Council members are randomly selected to participate in a screening committee meeting. If you are selected to participate on the screening committee, you will receive notification prior to the meeting.
