Ohio State Bar Association Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the information that the Ohio State Bar Association ("OSBA") gathers when you visit OSBA digital properties ("Digital Properties"), how we use that information, and the safeguards we have in place for your protection. By using or accessing any of our "Digital Properties," including but not limited to our website, any of its affiliate websites, social media sites, email and other communication, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy.

What information do we collect online and how is it used?

The OSBA collects and stores the date and time you access OSBA services, information about the device you are using (model, browser version, IP address), basic demographic data and the address of the previous site page from which you came.

 "Cookies" are a packet of data sent by an Internet server to a browser, which is returned by the browser each time it subsequently accesses the same server, used to identify the user or track their access to the server. Cookies are used to enhance your browsing experience on the OSBA website. Cookies may be used to personalize your website experience, such as recognizing you by name when you return, automatically signing you in or serving more relevant content via web or through other marketing. The OSBA does not use Cookies to collect personal identification information from its website users.  If you desire, instructions for your browser will allow you to make certain settings on your computer to warn you before a Cookies is stored, block all Cookies or erase Cookies from your web browser. However, if an OSBA member "blocks all cookies" or disables them on his or her web browser, the user may not be able to log-in.

Postal or Telephone Marketing: If you do not wish to receive marketing materials directly from the Ohio State Bar Association via regular postal mail or through telephone calls/messages, call us at (800) 232-7124.

Marketing Email: You may elect to no longer receive marketing emails from the Ohio State Bar Association. You may opt out of these marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing email you receive and/or by sending an email to osba@ohiobar.org.
