FAQs for CLE eBooks (electronic materials)

1. Since there are no hard copies to pick up, how will I get my materials?
Everyone who registers for a CLE program will receive two emails prior to the date of the seminar. The first will be approximately 10 days before the program reminding you of your registration and confirming the place and time. It also will tell you to expect another email that will arrive approximately two days before the seminar containing a link for downloading of the CLE materials. Free hard copies will not be available for pick up at the seminar. If you do not receive an email with the link to the materials at least 24 hours prior to the program, call OSBA Member Services at (800) 232-7124 to have the link sent to you, or just bring your electronic device to the program and the daily CLE URL will be given to you at check-in, allowing you to access and download the materials for your use.

2. To which email address will materials be sent?
Materials will be sent to the email address on file with the OSBA. Please make sure your email is updated with the OSBA to ensure receipt of program materials. Please make sure the email address on file is able to accept links from the Ohio State Bar Association. To ensure prompt delivery of your OSBA email, please add CLEmailings@ohiobar.org to your address book or safe sender list.

3. How do I purchase hard copy materials?
You may call (800) 232-7124 to purchase hard copy materials ($25). You can also pay for them along with your registration fee when you register. You will receive the book at check-in.

4. To use the electronic materials I was sent, do I need to bring my laptop or other mobile device (Nook, iPad, Kindle, etc.) to the seminar?
Yes, if you want the materials to follow along with the seminar speaker, you should download the materials ahead of time on your laptop, Kindle, Nook or other electronic device and bring it with you to the program. Please bring your fully charged device to the program for access.

5. I purchased a book when I registered for a program and still received a link in my email two days before the program. Should I be concerned that my book will not be waiting for me?
No. The electronic materials are automatically sent out to everyone who has registered for the program. Your purchased book will be waiting for you at the registration table.

6. Is WiFi available at the seminar? 
WiFi will be available at the seminar. After receiving the link to the seminar materials, we strongly recommend you download the materials to your device before the program. Please ensure the device upon which you download the materials is fully charged. If you did not receive the email with the link to the materials, forgot to download them or just ran out of time, bring your device to the seminar anyway. The URL for the CLE program materials will be available at the registration desk. You will be able to access and download the materials at the program.

7. Will I be able to charge my mobile device or laptop at the seminar?
Yes, we will have charging stations or power strips available to the attendees to charge devices. While there will be opportunities to charge your device during lunch or breaks, we cannot guarantee you will have access to electrical outlets during the program. Therefore, we recommend you fully charge your device before bringing it to the seminar.

8. How long will the seminar materials be available for me to download?
Electronic seminar materials will be available for 90 days from the date of the seminar; however, it is important that you download your materials to a more permanent location for future use.  If you are a member of the OSBA and have purchased a seminar, you will have access to the seminar materials and all of the OSBA eBook Library—over 220 practice-specific eBooks.

9. What if I am a walk-in registration? How will I receive my materials?
A hard copy will available to you when you arrive at the CLE seminar for $25. To avoid the book cost, bring your fully charged electronic device and you will be given the link to the materials that you can download prior to the program.
