This video is the first in a series of educational videos that walks you through all of the necessary steps to become an OSBA Certified Specialist.Applications will be available beginning Jan. 1, 2017.
The OSBA "specialization program" was created to give licensed Ohio attorneys the ability to become certified as specialists in particular areas of law. The Ohio State Bar Association is proud to be accredited by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Certification of Attorneys as Specialists (CCAS).
The OSBA offers a voluntary credentialing program for paralegals. Individuals meeting the OSBA definition of “paralegal,” meeting the eligibility requirements and passing a written examination will be designated as an “OSBA Certified Paralegal.” This credential, along with a logo provided for the purpose may be used by the paralegal to the extent permitted by the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Rules for the Government of the Bar and Rules of Professional Conduct.
Please note: For annual/biennial reporting and recertification, all links will be available in your "My Certification Profile" Oct. 1 to Dec. 1 of each year.
The My Certification Profile is a place for anyone applying for certification or already certified to view/edit his or her pending application, complete the annual/biennial reports and complete the re-certification applications. Once certified, you can use the My Certification Profile to track yearly requirements and obtain marketing material, including the certification logo.
