Columbus, OH (July 1, 2003) – Attorney Mark A. District 15 includes 178 attorneys who reside and practice in Belmont, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson and Monroe counties.

Thomas earned his undergraduate degree from Kent State University and his law degree from Ohio Northern University in 1986.
Before his election to the Board of Governors, Thomas served on the OSBA’s Council of Delegates; the Government, Education and Construction Law Committee; the Local Government Law Committee; and is a former member of the New Lawyers Section. He is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s Board of Trustees and serves as chairman of the Belmont County Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee. Thomas is a member of the American, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia bar associations.

He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the AAA Ohio Auto Club in Worthington and serves on the Board of Directors for the Greek Orthodox Church in Martins Ferry. In addition, he volunteers with the March of Dimes and chairs its annual Walk America fundraiser in Belmont County.
Thomas is currently serving his first term as Belmont County Commissioner, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio. He chairs the Infrastructure and Environment Committee and is a member of the Courts and Corrections Committee.
Thomas lives in St. Clairsville with his wife, Karri, and their two children: Aleksa, 6, and Addyson, 2. He and his wife are the proprietors of the Pastime Tavern and Grill in Bridgeport, Ohio.
The Ohio State Bar Association, founded in 1880, is a voluntary association representing approximately 25,000 members of the bench and bar of Ohio as well as nearly 4,000 legal assistants and law students. Through its activities and the activities of its related organizations, the OSBA serves both its members and the public by promoting the highest standards in the practice of law and the administration of justice.
