National Association in Cleveland, has been elected to serve a three-year term
as District 12 representative on the Board of Governors of the Ohio State Bar
Association (OSBA). District 12 includes
4,467 attorneys who reside or practice in Cuyahoga County.
Johnson was elected to
his new post by area lawyers at an OSBA district meeting several months ago. He
succeeds retiring District 12 representative, Mark S. Floyd of Cleveland. The 21-member Board of Governors manages the OSBA’s
business affairs, sets policy, reviews pending legislation and conducts other
business on behalf of the 25,000 Ohio lawyers who are OSBA members.
earned his undergraduate degree from Cleveland State University, Johnson went
on to earn his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law. Johnson
serves as president of the Norman S. Minor Bar Association, and has served on
the OSBA’s Council of Delegates and its Commission on Judicial Candidates. He
has served on the Nominating Committee for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association,
and has been a continuing legal education (CLE) presenter for the association’s
Estate Planning Institute.
the community, Johnson has chaired the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority
Board of Commissioners. He has served as president of the Black Professionals
Association Charitable Foundation, and as a member of the Legal Aid Society of
Cleveland’s Finance Committee. He also serves on the PolicyBridge Board of
Directors and was a member of the Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2006 of
the Cleveland Leadership Center.
