Columbus, Ohio (September 12, 2017) – The President of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) will visit Archbold on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, where he will recognize area attorneys for their service to the profession and the community.
Randall M. Comer, 2017-2018 OSBA President, will address the OSBA District 3 Annual Meeting at the Heritage Inn at Sauder Village (22611 State Route 2, Archbold, OH 43502). OSBA District 3 includes more than 450 attorneys who practice in Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, Williams and Wood counties.
As part of the luncheon, Daniel P. McQuade of Swanton and Richard D. Teeple of Findlay* will be honored for 50 years of service.
R. Benjamin Franz, District 3 representative to the OSBA Board of Governors will preside over the meeting, which begins at 12:00 p.m., and will include the election of members to the OSBA Council of Delegates, with the terms commencing on July 1, 2018.
President Comer will discuss the future of the legal profession and what attorneys can do to relate to and support their clients amid a time of great technological, cultural and economic change. After the luncheon meeting and recognition, attorneys may attend an optional 2.5-hour continuing legal education professional conduct seminar from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

About R. Benjamin Franz, District 3 Representative to the OSBA Board of Governors
Attorney R. Benjamin Franz is the District 3 representative on the OSBA Board of Governors. He currently serves as in-house counsel for Findlay-based Marathon Petroleum Company LP, where he provides environmental legal support for the company's network of seven petroleum refineries in the Midwest and Gulf Coast regions. He earned his undergraduate degrees from The Ohio State University and his law degree, cum laude, from Capital University Law School. Before joining Marathon Petroleum Company, he served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental Enforcement Section of the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Franz also serves as Chairman of the OSBA's Environmental Law Committee.
About OSBA President Randall Comer
Randall Comer began his term as President of the Ohio State Bar Association on July 1, 2017. A native of Springfield, Ohio, he has been a partner at Martin, Browne, Hull & Harper since 2008, where he specializes in general defense litigation with an emphasis on labor, employment, and workers' compensation matters. Randall earned his bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was editor in chief of the UC Law Review. Counting his family as his greatest blessing, Randall enjoys spending time with his wife, Tamara, and three children: Grace, Grant and Matthew.
