Columbus, OHIO (Oct. 1, 2013) – The president of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) will visit Toledo on Tuesday, Oct. 15, to speak to area attorneys about current issues facing the legal profession and to honor senior lawyers from the Toledo area.
Jonathan Hollingsworth, 2013-2014 OSBA president, will address the annual luncheon meeting of OSBA District 4 at the Best Western Grand Plaza Hotel (444 North Summit Street, Toledo). OSBA District 4 includes 1,258 members who practice in Lucas, Ottawa and Sandusky counties.
Richard W. Hanusz, Joel A. Levine and David F. Wiley of Toledo will be recognized for their 50 years of service to the legal profession. Andrew E. Anderson of Toledo will be recognized for his 65 years in practice.
Judge James D. Jensen, District 4 representative on the OSBA Board of Governors, will preside over the meeting, and Connie F. Zemmelman, Toledo Bar Association president, will deliver welcoming remarks. The meeting will include the election of four members to the OSBA Council of Delegates and one member to the OSBA Board of Governors. OSBA members may attend the meeting at no charge.
Following the noon luncheon meeting and recognition, an optional 2.5-hour continuing legal education (CLE) seminar will be offered from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Advance registration for the seminar is $70 for OSBA members and $85 for non-members; lunch is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. After Oct. 8, $25 will be added to the registration fee. The OSBA Young Lawyers Section invites all local young lawyers (age 36 or younger or in practice for five years or less) to attend the annual district luncheon for free, with registration completed by the early registration deadline.
