Meet the OSBA's 2017 Leadership Academy class!

Congratulations to the Ohio State Bar Association's 2017 Leadership Academy class! On May 3, 2017, this group of extraordinary future leaders became the eighth class to graduate from the program.

The Leadership Academy was designed for the OSBA to identify and train lawyers for future opportunities for leadership in the Association, the profession, and their community. Within six interactive sessions, participants are introduced to several prolific speakers and are given the opportunity to discuss engaging topics such as:


  • How to Be Effective with Clients, In-House Counsel, Partners and Judges;
  • Addressing Clients' Needs: The Partner's View Point, The Associate's Viewpoint; and
  • Branding Yourself: How Lawyers Can Use Social Media and Traditional Marketing.


They are given the support to enhance many of their important skills, including writing and public speaking. By the time that they graduate, they are transformed into problem solvers and effective lawyer leaders.
