|The Ohio State Bar Association has announced that the Supreme Court Commission on Certification of Attorneys as Specialists has accredited the OSBA to certify attorneys as specialists in Insurance Coverage Law.
Insurance Coverage Law is the area of law involving issues between insurers and policyholders concerning the rights and responsibilities that arise under insurance policies.
"Certification offers our members an opportunity to expand their expertise in particular areas of the law and it provides the public with an additional credential to consider when hiring a lawyer," said OSBA President Judge Patrick Fischer.
Attorneys interested in becoming certified specialists in Insurance Coverage Law should take note that the application deadline is June 30, 2013. Applications for certification are available now.
Of special interest to applicants is the requirement that they must complete a minimum of 36 hours of approved continuing legal education in the specialty area in the three-year period preceding their application for certification. For those applying in the 2013 cycle, these courses must be completed by June 2013.
